About the Board of Future Environments, Inc.
Future Environments, Inc. (FEI) is a non-profit organization in the state of Ohio (Entity #: 732201) that provides on-site childcare for employees of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and employees of other federal agencies as well as the Clifton, Ohio community. FEI has partnered with Learning Grove, formerly Cincinnati Early Learning Centers, since 2010 to provide a high-quality educational program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The program currently boasts the highest-level rating (Gold-rated) in the Ohio Department of Education’s “Step Up To Quality” system. As part of the partnership, EPA and other federal employees receive preferred enrollment status and discounted tuition. FEI is operated by a board of directors. The board oversees operation of the center, works with Learning Grove to set program policies, coordinates with the EPA to provide janitorial, maintenance, and security services, promotes the center, and conducts fundraising in support of the program. Board membership is open to families enrolled at the center and any interested person from EPA with or without children at the center.
